Press release: Ora Wins 2023 Australian Good Design Award
Ora was awarded for performance, full feature set, aesthetics, and fast mass installation
Organised by Good Design Australia, the Australian Good Design Awards programme is recognised by the World Design Organisation (WDO) as Australia’s peak international design endorsement programme. The Australian Good Design Awards were founded in 1958, celebrating 65-years in 2023.
The Good Design Awards Jury highlighted genuine innovation in Ora’s design, and its benefit to installers. “The quick release function of the monitor to the arm is innovative – streamlining the assembly process while protecting the monitor. Ultimately, its impact is an enhanced user experience for office workers who are able to customise their work station to best suit their ergonomic requirements.
“The Ora Monitor Arm has a clean, modern aesthetic that would enhance any contemporary office fitout.”
Ora is Atdec’s new flagship monitor arm for single and dual monitor setups in commercial workspaces. Ora was launched into the awards programme based on its full feature performance, fast installation at scale, and easy ergonomic adjustment. Equal performance with flat and curved monitors was central to Ora’s design mandate, achieved with Ora suitable for more than 85% of monitors sold globally in the past 12-months.
“Ora has been warmly received in our local and international markets, receiving acclaim in global awards programmes,” said Jerome Green, CEO of Atdec. "The Ora project team built on our history, including creation of the first-ever monitor arm, with design innovation to enhance user and installer experiences. We're proud of Good Design Australia's recognition and believe it will promote awareness of ergonomic health and creating safe, productive workspaces."
More than one thousand 2023 Australian Good Design Award applications were evaluated by a jury of 78 international design experts.
