Atdec’s Ora Wins iF DESIGN AWARD 2024
The iF award programme has been operated by Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH since 1954. Ora competed with 10,807 submissions from 72 countries, with the jury ranking form, function, differentiation, concept, and impact to decide the winner. The iF jury is assembled from the worlds leading designers, this year representing 23 countries.
Ora was particularly well regarded in the form and function dimensions. ‘Form’ considers the product’s target market engagement and how it is made. Ora’s design concept was to hold all typically used monitors, premium performance, and fastest mass installation. This tripartite foundation was exceeded, with Ora suiting more than 85% of the monitors sold globally in the past 12-months. Virtually all single and dual desks can be solved with Ora.
The iF ‘function’ dimension assesses why the product can be used easily and well, plus how it serves the user. Ora is built on Atdec’s 20-year history of design and manufacture of ergonomic office products, including the world’s first monitor arm. That history was engineered into Ora, providing end users a sleek vibration resistant product with long reach and smooth fingertip adjustments. Atdec also considers installers as a key user, so Ora includes multiple features to simplify mass installations. One example of this is a new desk clamp style that can be preassembled above the desk, to limit or even eliminate installer time under the desk. Professionals have installed Ora in less than a minute each.
"We are thrilled and honoured to receive the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD for Ora,” said Jerome Green, CEO of Atdec. “The award is testament to the dedication and creativity of our exceptional design team, whose relentless pursuit of excellence has elevated our product and set a new standard for monitor arm innovation and aesthetics. Winning this award is a shared achievement, and I extend my deepest appreciation to every member of our team.”
